You must be 21 or older to adopt from this shelter and provide proof that, if you are renting, your landlord will allow you to own a large breed dog. Dogs will be up to date with shots and wormers, and each dog is spayed or neutered and microchipped. Once you’re approved to adopt a dog from this shelter, the team will work with you to find a dog with a temperament that fits your family dynamic. SSMR requires an adoption fee of $450 for Adult Mastiffs, $500 for Puppies, and $200 for Senior Mastiffs and Mixes. They do so through close interactions with breeders and Mastiff owners across the country and outreach and educational programs.
